Keep the hurt at bay
White sheets lay covered over her sea
Where she drifts into an oblivious reverie…
Hands tangled up in her pillow
A prisoner in her castle made of air
Below, broken heroes fall at her feet
Stars clutch onto their last heart beat
Alas, she loved the mystery
Didn’t mean to kill it
She just couldn’t let it be
Relentlessly, the wind exhales…
Fetters unlock, sinking deep
Pain spiralling pleasure, a tempting leap
Forgo the freight, keep the hurt at bay
She set her sails, let’s down her hair
She is travelling a zephyr away from care
Thank you…
Miss,
Pardon my intrusion, your poetry is quite breath-taking.
Kindest Wishes
Thank you both!
