Let it snow
It’s 1.47 a.m and I can’t sleep. The fact that my alarm is set on 5.05 doesn’t really make me relax. I give up and make myself a cup of tea. The advent lights in the windows across the street still shine, just like the moon. I open up my window to let some icy midnight air in. I take a deep breath and let it clear my thoughts.
Ain’t it wonderful how different air can smell?
This air has the smell of sweet concrete, frosty silence and snow anticipation.
Maybe if I close my eyes and rest there will be a cover of snow on the ground when I wake up?
Meanwhile, I let snow fall over my blog.
wow. you are waiting for the snow…
i am waiting for the summer to return and the winter didn’t even visit yet..
though – if this cold winter is around – better be it snow..
(hard to see the snow on your background)
Yeah, it’s a very subtle snow I have here, barely visible, not even cold or wet. Almost as something you just imagine.
I love snow and can’t wait to go skiing. I probably prefer cool air to warm air too, but then again, warm air usually comes with sun.
I don’t know where you live but I hope that sun shines on you.
i want snow too. i was discussing this yesterday with a friend, how sweden really turns into this country with lagom weather. we rarely get a nice summer anymore (one hot week per year doesn’t count as summer!!) and we rarely get a nice snow filled winter (at least not where i live…). i spent last january in north western canada, we had -36 and lots of snow. that was nice.
anyways, i just wanted to send you a christmas song. it’s william fitzsimmons (of course). enjoy.

The song is lovely! I felt the snowflakes falling on the music. Thank you very much!
Always hard for creative people to sleep during full moon. Feeling quite wakeful myself… as i type this, I am seeing little snowflakes cross over my words… a lovely touch on your blog.
Wow, I’ve always thought the full moon affects me! I couldn’t sleep yesterday either but dozed off at around 2.30 I guess. I woke up in sweat from the alarm and really bad dreams at 5. Why this restlessness in me?
Amy Oscar, thank you for your comment. You are a lovely touch on my blog too! 🙂
