I’ve got a new job!
It happened really fast. It always does.
I had a plan, a very open plan. Alright, I didn’t have a plan at all! 🙂 But I wanted to go travel again, after being in Stockholm for yet another year, landing and all that shit. So as you know, I’ve been working, saving up money, enjoying the small things, seeing friends and fam, reading and writing a lot. You’ve been here with me through it.
And I’ve told you, I wanted to do something else for the summer that is approaching.
I can’t remember how or why I started thinking of Norway…but I remember I was in a bookshop dreaming myself away by the travel section. I had picked up Lonely Planets guide to Norway and was flipping through it when a woman glanced at the book I was holding.
– Oh, I’m sorry she said. I am looking for a guide to Lofoten, Northern Norway.
That night when I came home I downloaded a brochure about Lofoten. Two hours later I had sent applications to go work there.
I was blown away by the nature of this place! It fit with the kind of experience I am craving.
A few days later I got an e-mail from an activity company/ outdoor center saying that my CV was looking very interesting, asking if they could call me the next day.
They did and we talked for an hour.
– When can you start? the lady asked.
I will be going there two months from now!! 🙂
I can’t tell you how great of a feeling I have about this, but I will post pictures for you to see and I promise I will soon tell you more about the place and what I will be doing.
Plans always change. For the better!
