Team
she says they are a team
she and him
from the front seat
buckled up and homebound
like boats on a stream
I salt away the feeling
pouring fresh water
into my soul
I’m riding this one out alone

aren’t we always alone?
it is good to remember it when going in two (which is in practice, not better but very joyful).
i could ramble on that a lot. there is beauty, a trip like feeling, that cannot be reached by two, a spiritual experience one can only get when lost by oneslef (or reach by one self). there is great beauty in sharing the high moments too..
i am still not sure which are stronger. which do i like more..
I think I get what you are saying…;) I was inspired by how my friend used the term team instead of couple. Being in a “team” with someone is probably one of the most powerful feelings a person can experience. But to be a winning team you need to be a “team” with yourself too…a team within the team sort of. But I guess it’s all about sharing with the right person, at the right time, be it yourself or someone else.
i agree fully with all you say but for the team (in a way). i prefer partnership.
