Dusty

I have ten minutes at this little internet cafe, in a dusty Namibian town, which name I have forgotten.

I know it would be useless to try and share all the thoughts and feeling that are sticking to me like the sand on my sweaty skin. But believe me, it’s all so beautiful and wild and includes images of five rhinos silent fight over a moonlit waterhole at midnight.

And the day after, flocks of animals gathering to drink under the midday hot, African sun.

Silent awe, broken only by the sound of digital cameras.

Also: Hyenas roaming the roads, cobras, thorny bushes and long, endless roads.

Light and darkness, all at once.
