Skøyen, Oslo
Sunshine woke me up this morning.
I hadn’t slept more than a few hours but I woke up full of energy! I opened up my window to be greeted by clear blue skies, a bright light and a fresh early spring breeze!
If you knew how bad the weather has been in Oslo the last two months you would share my enthusiasm.
I put on my sunnies and jumped on my bike and cruised around the city, crossing nothing but smily faces.
After the Vigeland sculpture park I did a large turn and ended up at Skøyen train station, where I thought I would take a little coffee break….
But ended up staying for two hours, completely surprised by this new urban lifestyle district, it’s food markets, interior and clothing shops. I even ran into a friend of mine in a a fancy flower shop that confirmed that not many people know about the area.
Yesterday, I had gotten really upset about the lack of vegetarian food at a convenient store in central Oslo.
Today I thought, there is hope.
