Meditating on my next move

It’s the first of December and I have been traveling for exactly one month.

But what I’ve learnt over the years is that it isn’t about the places you go that matters but the moments when you stay still enough to know where you are.

And I’m right here, right now, on Gili Air Island, Lombok, Indonesia.

A week in at H20 Yoga & Meditation Centre, my shoulders have dropped several inches. My breathing has deepened, my mind has become more still. I have gained clarity and become curious and inspired again.

I work a few hours a day, cleaning and tidying up the shala and bungalows, prepping the kitchen or meeting and greeting with travelers that come for yoga classes.

I have plenty of time to attend classes myself, learn meditation techniques, read inspiring books, explore the island and sip mango juices on the beach.

But my mission is to get ready for the new chapter in my life, as a Health Coach.

I keep updated with my studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I watch videos and lectures, read articles and work on my goals and future business plan. I talk to fellow students over Skype where we coach each other on where we are and where we want to be. I take inspiration from other Life Coaches, what they are doing and how I can change and start contributing to people’s wellbeing too.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity to unwind, to reset, and get going.

Because I have a long journey in front of me.
